Sarah & Andrew at ZEST Mosman

Every now and then, a brief comes across your desk and you find yourself nodding your head with a little smile. You’ve already painted a picture of what they day will look like, you know exactly what it will take to produce it, and you are in love with every single element that the couple is telling you they want. This was definitely that job when we had the chance to work on full planning and production of this event at Mosman Art Gallery and ZEST at the Spit.

Mosman Gallery is such a versatile space. It’s an old church from way back when. Reconfigured and renovated from the outside, but still has it’s belly in tact. The brief was to find an indoor venue to completely weather-proof us (very sensible as it did in fact rain on the day), the challenge was to bring the space to life. Less community centre, more luxurious wedding ceremony.

The reception space at ZEST in Mosman, is still one of my favourites. Complete with hanging gardens and chandeliers, it took the most part of the day to setup ready for the evening reception. But wow, was the effort worth it. Every detail from the cut crystal to the wedding cake was curated beautifully by Sarah and Andrew. It was such a shame at the end of the night to un-do all that work, but the memories are so wonderful to have. The ultimate lesson in booking a great photographer.
