Bendooley Estate is relatively short trip from Sydney, just under an hour and a half depending where you are coming from (and as long as you aren’t travelling in peak hour traffic). Our wedding planners Sydney do service this area and love all the charm that a Southern Highlands wedding has to offer. Bendooley Estate is a beautiful location which operates as a book shop and cafe by day. By night the tables have been cleared and the room transitions into a wonderfully open event space. What our wedding planners Sydney love most about this venue is the ambience of being nestled in amongst the books. I also love the fire place in winter (your guests will too) and the beams running the span of the floor which make for easy opportunities to decorate with any type of ceiling installation be it with flowers or otherwise.
Your vendors will also appreciate the amount of back of house space to load in and prepare prior to commencement of bump in time. This location also has some great ceremony spaces. The lakeside is a stunning spot during the warmer months but can be a bit of a challenge for a winter wedding with the southern highlands climate. If you are considering substantial decor, this should be factored in prior to booking this venue – as bump in times are typically shorter if they are offering a lunch service during the day at the cafe (unless you can secure something ahead of time).
