The wind and the rain would not stop Julia and Chris from making it down the aisle last February at the beautiful grounds of Parklands Blue Mountains. The heavy fog and the light drizzle were definitely not what we had on the order that day. But the photoshoot captured the magic in the most romantic way.
Despite a sunny wedding rehearsal creating beads of sweat across all our foreheads a day earlier, the couple had to make a tough call and move their ceremony indoors due to the heavy fog and light drizzle. Luckily, the Parklands Karawerra Room provided a cozy country atmosphere, complete with a fireplace and a string quartet to welcome guests. Julia made a stunning entrance to the tune of La Vie En Rose, arriving just in time on a buggy with her bridal party.

The wedding arbour. Stunning. Phalaenopsis orchids, quicksand roses, delphinium spotted with greenery. Love. Image Kieran Moore Photography
Julia and Chris had exquisite taste in flowers, and with a little help from Rose Gold Floral designs their custom made arbour was covered in beautiful blooms including phalaenopsis orchids, quicksand roses and peppered with dahlia and delphinium.
With so much on offer at Parklands, even with the rain, it wasn’t hard to capture some beautiful moments on camera. And these two were clever enough to sneak off by themselves (perhaps with a photographer in tow), to catch some quiet moments under the canopy of trees close by. And after a quick hiatus from their guests, and with a little time to refuel on the deliciousness coming out of the kitchen, they were ready to regroup with the rest of their guests to really kick off the celebration.

But the best part of the evening would have to be the flash mob, which not even Julia or Chris knew about. But between the mother of the bride – the mastermind, the DJ, the venue, and ourselves – we had cleverly orchestrated a flash mob much to the surprise and delight of the newlyweds.
