Jessica and Nicholas were a long way from London when they planned their wedding at The Mint, Sydney. And they undoubtedly picked a wonderful location to host their tea ceremony, ceremony and reception.
Given the challenges that distance and time zones often entail, Jessica and Nicholas reached out for a little bit of help to bring their ideas to life and style the wedding they had envisioned. And so had begun our work together on producing this ultra sweet wedding on one beautiful (albeit it very windy) day.
While we styled the ceremony with a very soft and classic colour palette of whites and dusty pinks, we introduced pops of deeper burgundy inset to long table garlands at the reception to give the space more depth. Switching out the linens was something that we had wanted to do from the outset, but was a very last minute decision that paid off for Jessica and Nicholas. The muted ochres of the linen along with native foliage on the table made the very contemporary space of the Gold Melting room more in keeping with the historic feels of the property.
The Mint is an extremely versatile space, and given the proximity to the CBD, still feels so private and away from the noise and commotion of the city. It was a magical evening, and it was such a pleasure being back at The Mint and being a part of Jess and Nick’s day.
