The entire indoor space can seat up to 180 guests banquet style, with separate areas suitable for pre-function entertaining. The interior boasts a flexible layout with partitioning, allowing for customisable seating arrangements to suit weddings of varying sizes. The open floor plan ensures that every guest has a clear view of the ceremony or reception.

One of the standout features of The Calyx is undoubtedly the living plant wall that serves as a backdrop for the main event. This remarkable wall showcases an impressive array of vibrant and exotic plant species, creating a captivating and ever-changing tapestry of colors. The living wall exhibition is updated with different installations from time to time.

While the hire of the venue space is managed directly through The Royal Botanic Gardens, the catering is managed directly with it’s dedicated catering team at Laissez-Faire Catering.
In addition to its picturesque indoor space, The Calyx provides access to the surrounding Royal Botanic Garden Sydney for your wedding ceremony. Or if you prefer something on a more magnificent scale, the nearby St Mary’s Cathedral. Expect stunning photo opportunities amidst the lush gardens and iconic landmarks, such as the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Couples also love the proximity to some wonderful hotels like the the Sir Stamford at Circular Quay, The Intercontinental, Sydney and The Sofitel.
