If you’re wanting dramatic city views without the hassle of being right in the centre of town then the Taronga Centre is the ultimate choice. When you’re choosing a venue, food and beverage are usually top of mind, but a venue like the Taronga Centre can offer you experiences on your wedding day that are pretty hard to match. And if you’re an animal lover, what could make for a better photoshoot than being among it all at the Zoo.
Of course when you’re narrowing down your venue options, there will be much to consider, and one of the most pressing things on your mind is trying to figure out where your wedding ceremony will be. And located on the shores of Sydney Harbour in Mosman, you are spoilt for choice. Bradley’s Head Amphitheatre, George’s Head Lookout, or Balmoral Beach are all great outdoor options. If you want to play it safe and stick to an indoor venue, Mosman Art Gallery is right around the corner. Or, you could mix it up completely. Why not host your wedding ceremony in the east and ship your guests to the north – literally! With some fantastic water transfers available to you like Rosman Ferries, you can have your guests there in a jiffy. Spots like McKell Park at Darling Point are a stone throw to a nearby wharf where your guests can embark and disembark via the Taronga Zoo Wharf. If you’re worried about getting your guests up to the function space from the wharf, why not book the Zoo’s Sky Safari to travel via gondola.

The Taronga Centre has a few spaces depending on your group size. The Gili Rooftop is a more intimate space suitable for ceremonies or small receptions, The N’Galawa Terrace up to 150, and The Dalang Ballroom up to 250. All of these spaces with incredible views. When you’re weighing up your options in a practical sense – the ease of parking for your guests, ease of bumping in and out particularly to the Terrace and Ballroom, really win my heart a million times over.
